How It Used To Be

Message in the MUSIC:
Kirk Franklin – How It Used To Be

You live life, grow up and grow older.  And as time passes, as the days pass, you become more of who you are meant to be.  You make mistakes and learn from them.  However, sometimes you get to the point where you remain comfortable with where you are in life; even if where you are at the time is not a good place to be.  When you get in a place like that, it is important to reflect on times when you were in a better place.  Reflect on how it used to be; how you used to be.  Focus on where you should be and where you need to be, and move forward.  Moving forward is a choice.  Use the reflection on how it used to be as motivation to lift you up, pick you up and move you forward. Let it motivate you to make a positive change. Let it motivate you to do something better and different. Let it motivate you to love yourself and others more abundantly.

“Reflect on how it used to be; how you used to be.
Focus on where you should be and where you need to be, and move forward.” --- Torion Kent

My Testimony

Everyone has a story to tell. That story is unique and different for each individual person because we all have unique and different experiences.  We may be from the same family, but because of the differences in age, interests, schools, friends, acquaintances, and relationships, we learn different things. We have different interactions. We have different experiences. We grow differently.  We may be around the same people some of the time, but not all of the time. We interpret things differently.  We relate to things differently. These differences are what make our stories unique.

My story is my testimony.  My story is the basis for who I was, who I am and who I will become. It is the story of my personal growth in love. It is my journey. My life has not been perfect.  There have been ups and downs, trials and tribulations.  I have been overwhelmed by worldly issues and overcome those issues.  I have been in the storm and through the storm.  I have been hurt, abused and mistreated.  I have been happy and treated with respect, love and care.  I have lived and am here today to share my story. I survived.  I made it through. I have love in my life.  I love. My testimony has been a part of the pages within my books.  It is proof that good things can happen.  It is proof that struggles will happen.  It is proof that life does and will happen.  It is also proof that love exists.  My journey has been long and is not over yet.  This is only part of a greater story.  There is more to do, more to experience and more to tell.  I am here.  I made it.  That is my testimony.  Love always. Love daily. 365 Love. TM

Until the End of Time

Eve was created so that Adam would not be alone.  Adam did not have to search for or find Eve. She was a part of a great plan.  Because of love, she was created for him.  She was created from his flesh and bone to be his help meet; his companion; his wife.  They were to be as one, united until the end of time.  I often think about their life and how important their union was to love and relationships.  They were born out of love, designed by love. They were made companions by love, for love and because of love.

The marriage of a man and a woman should be sacred.  It should be a union made by love, for love and because of love.   And like love, the union should be designed to last until the end of time.  In the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13 says, “Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” This is how love is defined.  This is how we as individuals should think and act in love.  When these things are a part of our everyday character, a part of who we are, and a part of the relationship, the relationship is long lasting.  It is everlasting.  It can and will last until the end of time.  In today’s world, one may feel that this is not possible. However, when love is truly the foundation of the marriage, it can and will last until the end of time.  If there is ever a question of what is an act of love, refer to its definition. Know that it is as is forever.  Know that it is designed to last until the end of time.  Love always. Love daily. 365 Love.TM

Your Best Days Yet

Where were you yesterday? What did you do today? How are you feeling? What does your heart desire? Several questions have been asked. What are your answers? Whether your responses are positive, indifferent, or negative, you are still living your life. You are still writing your story. Today is not over and tomorrow is coming.  If you think you have it bad now, it gets better. If you think you have it good now, it gets better.  It’s not over. A new chapter is just beginning an another will come after that one. You haven’t seen your best days yet. As you grow in love and allow love to enter your life and be a part of your daily actions, great things happen.  The worst improves, the best gets better, and your best days are yet to come. They are something to look forward to.  So be excited about what is to come.  Love has lots of gifts in store for you.  Those gifts are with you every day.  Some are realized and some are not.  But, with love your eyes are opened to a new view and the possibilities are limitless. Your best days include those possibilities. Your best days yet are filled with love. Love always. Love daily. 365 Love. TM

The Answer

One way to assess a person’s comprehension of something they have learned is through testing. If you can respond correctly to a series of questions or tasks about a specific subject matter with some level of proficiency, you have successfully passed the test. Most are designed for you to do on your own; independently.   The test may be paper-based, online, a hands-on demonstration or verbal.  Regardless, you are doing something to demonstrate if you know the answer to the questions and/or tasks at hand.  The answer key provides the correct answers to each question and is used by the grader to help determine which responses are right or wrong.  There are times when instructors allow open book tests.  The answers are in the book. All you have to do is to search for them.  The more familiar you are with the information in the book, the quicker and easier it is to find the answer.

Life is full of experiences that are like taking tests.  For every situation we experience and every question we could possibly ask about those experiences, there is a book with all of the answers in it. We have the ability to use that book, like an open book test. The instructor has given us permission to do so. However, we often forget about it or don’t know enough about it to use it.  The more we read and gain knowledge about the book, the more we realize its value and how resourceful it is.  It becomes easier and easier for us to find the answers.  This book is not just any book.  It is ”the” book. This book is the Bible; the ultimate book of love. Get to know it.  Find out more about it.  Realize how valuable it is to your personal growth in love.  It has all the answers you need for anything and everything.  It is of love, from love.  Love always. Love daily. 365 Love. TM
