One Thing About You

Today's NOTE

As the year draws close to an end and the holiday season is upon us, family, friends, and businesses host holiday festivities and year end celebrations.  There are prayers, meals, kind words of thanks and appreciation, gifts, awards and/or bonuses. And let's not leave out the fact that fun and fellowship takes place. 

I had the pleasure of attending a year end appreciation / holiday luncheon with some of my staff members.  As we waited on our meals, one of my employees made the following request-- "Tell one thing about you that you feel others do not know and share one of your dreams."  It's interesting how that one thing about you can provide enlightening insight into who a person really is and what they believe in.  There was so much positive energy in the room.  Many of the things shared were pure love.  People were doing things out of love.  People had dreams aligned with love.  People gave of themselves out of love.   People loved. 

One staff member's daughter adopts children with medical disabilities and provides them with the means to receive the medical attention they need.  The same staff member does missionary work and wants to do this full time upon retiring.  Another staff member's sister is the founder of schools that provide an education to children in poor countries.  Another staff member has a passion for helping people and is working to obtain a degree in HR.  Another found out about some 30+ homeless kids attending a certain school and found the means, with the support of some other friends, to provide for those children and their families for Christmas and some period after that.  Another staff member has a passion for helping the elderly and would like to continue work with them on a more consistent, long term basis.  I, in turn, was able to share my current and future plans for 365 Love.

These are testimonies that love still exists.  These are testimonies that people love.  These are testimonies that people who love, think loving thoughts and want to share love with others. These are testimonies that love gives.  These are testimonies that love is contagious, love brings change and love makes a difference.  These are testimonies that the one thing about you that is most important is love.  Love always.  Love daily.  365 love.
