Lady in My Life

There is a special lady in my life. I would not be here without her.  I am who I am because she gave of her time to give me what I needed, when I needed it, even when I did not realize it.  She watched over me.  She looked out for my best interests.  She did what she knew how to do to help me become the person I am today.  She provided me with the tools needed to learn and grow.  Even though she may not have always been able to be present physically, she supported everything I ever wanted to do.  She encouraged me to shine my light.  She fed me with her creativity which planted a seed for my personal growth. This special lady in my life has always been there, even at times when I felt her presence was not needed.  She gave me advice, even when I did not want to hear it.  She gave me unconditional love, even when I did not know how to receive it.  She introduced me to great music.  She encouraged me to always strive to do better and be better.  She acknowledged my accomplishments and applauded my growth.

Sometimes, we don’t realize how special people are until we grow older and wiser.  We sometimes take for granted those who are near and dear to us, because we expect what they have consistently given not realizing its value.  We become “comfortable” with them.  This special lady in my life is special indeed. And I don’t want to go another day without acknowledging how much she means to me.  I want to acknowledge her strength, courage and wisdom.  I want to thank her for being her, so that I could be me.  This special lady in my life is my mother, Jill L. Harden.  Love always. Love daily. 365 Love. TM

Have you told someone you loved them today?  I have. TM

Blank Page

Each day brings about a new beginning.  Think about that new beginning as if it was a blank page.  It’s the first page of a new chapter; the chapter that helps to complete a new book.  As you start your day, you begin to fill your blank page based on your experiences.  Sometimes the content of your page is out of your control. However, there is always an opportunity for you to respond and choose the next thing that goes on the page.  When one blank page is filled, there is another to follow.  With every new blank page, you get to choose at some point and time how the page is filled.  As time passes, the blank pages become completed chapters.  Completed chapters become a part of your life’s story book.

You choose.  You are the author.  You fill each blank page and each blank page is about you. There are many contributors, but the final outcome of each page in each chapter is based solely on you.  It would not exist without you and your blank pages. The good thing about love is that it fills up a blank page with good things.  It provides a new opportunity to fill up another blank page again and again.  Love provides new blank pages that are used to change rough beginnings into happy endings.  Love provides blank pages that are filled to teach and provide testimonies of faith, joy and peace. As your blank pages are filled, your chapters are completed and your story is read, what message will it send?  What will someone learn from it?  Will it make a positive difference in someone’s life?  Will it demonstrate love? Will it have a happy ending?  Remember, you choose what goes on your blank page and everyday provides a new one.  Choose to make a positive difference. Choose to fill your blank page with love.  Love always. Love daily. 365 Love. TM
