You Did

A friend of mine shared how some of her recent and past experiences impacted how much she trusts in certain situations today. She also noted that she sometimes feels she has issues trusting God; trusting love. She questioned why people could treat each other so badly and why God would allow certain events to take place.  She also questioned when positive changes would come.

If I don’t know anything at all, one thing I do know is that you can always trust God.  You can always trust love.  I reminded my friend of the many stories in the Bible where God’s children had to go through something to get to something better and greater.  It was those experiences that prepared them for their destiny; their purpose in life.  It was not when they wanted it the happen, but when God wanted it to happen.  It was in His time, right on time.

Even though your present situation may not be as you want it to be, it is better than where you were.  God did that.  And because of your faith and God’s grace, you were able to get out of something bad and into something better.  You did it. Love did it.  Your ability to wake up this morning was something that love did.  Each day is a new opportunity for something better to take place.  Each day is one more day closer to fulfilling your purpose.  It is one day closer to realizing the positive change that will take place in your life because of your own actions and/or the actions of others.  Know that you can trust in love because for everything you have already overcome, you did it. Love was there to carry you through.  And for everything you are yet to experience, I assure you that you will be able to say, “Thank you, God! Thank you, Love! I made it through, because of what you did!” Love always. Love daily. 365 Love. TM

If You Love Me, Say It

As a child, our household did not include verbal expressions of love for one another very often.  I never really realized it at the time.  However, as I grew older and became more aware of the word and its meaning, I realized that it was a void in my home and in my life.  I made a promise to myself that I would always make sure the people I cared about knew that I loved them.  At the time, I did not realize that the promise made to myself was what God expects us all to do.  He wants us to love one another.  He wants us to say it and demonstrate it.

To this very day, I have lived up that that promise.  My home is filled will love and my family and friends express their love of one another on a consistent basis.  While there is truth in the popular saying, “actions speak louder than words.” Words speak loud also.  So often people go through life not expressing the love they have for others.  In doing so, there are later regrets when what we put off for tomorrow never has a chance to take place because of something that happened today. Or, what we assumed people knew by our actions was not interpreted the way we intended it to be.  Saying “I love you” is not a difficult thing to do.  Just open your mouth and say it and make sure it is supported by your actions.  It does not take a lot of time or energy.  However, it has a lot of meaning and positive impact to the life of others when expressed and demonstrated.  If you love me, say it.  If you love others, say it.  Love always. Love daily. 365 Love. TM
